Hey friends!!
we’ve been in Swaziland for around 2 weeks now, let me give you a day in the Life.

On our way!
As a guys team we are all living together in home, we’ve named the Freedom House, coming from a prophetic word we received about our season together on day one!
Our ministry in Swaziland is working with care points, bases across the country that feed and take care of children, essentially similar to an after school program.

The preschoolers in line to eat
So lots of our ministry is simply playing. Each time when school gets out loads of kids come upon us (sometimes literally) to just be around us. We’re on the monkey bars, before you know it I’m chasing a group of primary kids like a lion, all the while they are eager to hold your hand.

Parker caught in the midst.
One day I was challenged, “what are you truly giving these children?” An older gentleman asked me. It made me think, is playing just a distraction? Should we be teaching or giving something to these kids something practically so they become better adults? then one day I learned,
Only 12% of Swazi children grow up with both parents.
On the monkey bars 🙂
Many kids may not have more than a couple minutes a day to truly be with their parent(s). You almost never see a son playing with their dad, like how I used to throw a football with mine in the front yard. Our presence was more important than we knew.

They love photos.

Apart from day ministry, our time is spent together as a group of 12 guys (just like the disciples!) in fellowship, worshipping and eating together.

My team!
This season on the race is pretty new for me! I’m learning how to be a squad leader and as I am He’s been leading me into deeper surrender than I’ve experienced before. But praise God my Good Shepherd, I wasn’t made to carry the burden. In the words of my friend (and co leader) Braden “I’m simply a lamb leading other lambs.”

Sticking His tongue out
Our world is quick to make grown ups, but my King is looking for just opposite
little children.
“And they were bringing little children to Him so that He would touch them; but the disciples rebukes them. But when Jesus saw this, he was indignant and said to them “allow the little children to come to Me; do not forbid them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. Truly I say to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God like a child will not enter it at all.” And He took them in His arms and began blessing them, laying His hands on them.” – Mark 10:13-16
The true children of God are the ones who come when He calls. Come to him! Let him undress you from all shame and clothe you anew!
